During a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kelly Clarkson, the 41-year-old pop sensation and TV personality, delivered a mesmerizing homage to a timeless classic.

As part of the show’s Kellyoke segment on Friday (April 5), Clarkson treated viewers to a breathtaking rendition of Judy Garland’s iconic ballad, “Over the Rainbow.”

Clad in an elegant long-sleeved black dress, Clarkson effortlessly captured the essence of the beloved song from The Wizard of Oz, originally performed by Garland in the legendary 1939 film.

With guitarist Jaco Caraco accompanying her, the Grammy-winning artist belted out the poignant lyrics, “Away above the chimney tops, That’s where you’ll find me,” to the delight of her audience.

The captivating performance concluded with a vibrant display of rainbow-colored lights in the background, eliciting resounding applause from the crowd.

Viewers flooded the comments section on YouTube with praise for Clarkson’s rendition, with one fan expressing a desire to include it in their wedding playlist: “Please put this on the next Kellyoke album so I can dance to it at my wedding.”

Another commenter marveled at Clarkson’s interpretation, declaring it the best cover they’ve heard: “HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!! “Over the Rainbow” holds special significance for Clarkson, as she revealed during a 2017 appearance on Today that she often sings the classic to her children, River Rose, 9, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 7, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

“She’ll always cut me off and go, ‘Birds, mommy, birds.’ She always wants me to get to the bird part,” Clarkson shared during the interview.
