Five years have passed since Lady Gaga puzzled the internet with her viral “What’s fortnight” tweet, but now she’s in on the game. The superstar announced on Tuesday (Feb. 20) that she’s teaming up with Fortnite Festival.

Gaga took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to rectify her original post with the correct spelling upon the announcement. She also gave a glimpse of her Fortnite avatar, radiating in a pink Chromatica fog. As Fortnite Festival kicks off its second season on Feb. 22, gamers can expect select tracks from Gaga’s discography to be featured in the game, as reported by Rolling Stone. However, it remains uncertain whether Gaga will perform virtually within the festival.

The Fortnite collaboration coincides with Gaga’s work on new music. Last month, she shared a series of photos on Instagram, depicting herself in a softly lit music studio, posing near the microphone in an oversized striped sweater, chunky black heeled boots, and sunglasses. The caption, adorned with black heart and music note emojis, confirmed her dedication to crafting new tunes.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting new music since Gaga’s last album, 2020’s Chromatica. However, the 13-time Grammy winner has been occupied with various projects close to her heart over the past three years. Her recently relaunched Haus Labs makeup brand has gained immense popularity on TikTok, consistently releasing innovative products ranging from foundations and illuminating blushes to vibrant lip crayons, glosses, and beyond.
