Kesha revealed in a Self cover story that she “almost died in January” due to serious complications after freezing her eggs.

The “TikTok” singer told the outlet that she “developed an uncommon yet serious complication from the fertility procedure” that left her “too weak to walk.”  She subsequently spent nine days in a Miami hospital and says she only now, months later, is “finally feeling recovered.”

Despite the complications, Kesha added that she stands by the decision to take her “reproductive health into [her] own hands.”
