On April 10, 1912, the R.M.S. Titanic took off from Southampton, England and started its transatlantic journey to New York.
Nicknamed “The Unsinkable” the Titanic was sold as a luxury boat over 2,000 passengers and crew.

At 11:40 pm, on April 14, Frederick Fleet, a lookout, spotted an iceberg and alerted the bridge. After the sinking, more a 1,500 died from the ship.

For over 100 years, the Titanic has been an inspiration for non-fiction and fiction in history and pop culture.
