Both The Weeknd and Taylor Swift won three awards at the 2020 American Music Awards.  While Abel took home the awards for ‘Favourite Male Artist – Soul/R&B,’ ‘Favourite Album – Soul/R&B’ (After Hours) and ‘Favourite Song Soul/R&B for ‘Heartless,” TSwift accepted the awards for ‘Artist of the Year,’ ‘Favourite Female Artist – Pop/Rock’ and ‘Favourite Music Video for Cardigan.”
