‘These Days’ is about reminiscing about a past love, fake IDs, back streets, a ’98 Chevrolet, dive bars and other nostalgic moments that many can relate to.  MacKenzie shares, “The hook of the song is, I’m thinking about those days, these days.  So many people have been posting what they missed before quarantine – just hanging out with friends and in larger groups, partying, going out and so, it’s been kind of cool, it seems like a timely song right now.  It fits the time.”

Check out this massive accomplishment – back in December, MacKenzie scored back to back No.1’s and is the first Canadian in 22 years to score consecutive country No.1’s (Shania Twain was the first).  In an Instagram post, MacKenzie writes, “Thank you Canadian Country Radio from the bottom of my little heart for my second #1 single and for believing in me in such a massive way!.”

To celebrate her US debut, MacKenzie released a live version of ‘These Days,’ which was recorded at Joe’s Live in Chicago.
