Drake is doing his best to take our minds off the craziness in the world with COVID-19 by releasing a brand new single called ‘Toosie Slide’, and it already has a popular dance aptly called, the ‘Toosie Slide’.

Accompanying the new record is a music video that was shot at Drake’s lavish Toronto mansion.

The video features the 6 God in a black ski mask, doing the ‘Toosie Slide’ and showing off his home, which features pictures of the late Prince and Snoop Dogg; Drake also gives a nod to the late Kobe Bryant as his jersey is spotted in the music video.

Throughout the video, Drake shows the simple steps the soon-to-be popular ‘Toosie Slide’.

Towards the end of the video, a fireworks display lights up Drake’s property in what can only be described as a spectacular display.

Last week, a video snippet by social media influencer Toosie and his friends dancing to the song surfaced on the Internet, sparking rumours that new Drizzy was on the way.

A few days later, Drake would confirm the ‘Toosie Slide’ release on his own Instagram page…

The song (and dance) have been likened to the 2000 record ‘Cha Cha Slide’ by Mr. C The Slide Man.

‘Toosie Slide’ is sure to blow up the social media app TikTok along with the charts as Drake has a history of tying his music to popular dance crazes.

Back in 2018, social media star Shiggy, started the #InMyFeelingsChallenge by dancing to Drake’s ‘In My Feelings’ record.

The #InMyFeelingsChallenge (or the #ShiggyChallenge) would explode on social media, spawning several recreations.

Be on the lookout for more ‘Toosie Slide’ videos as this song is sure to become yet another Drake smash.
