Domino’s Delivers

The Ottawa Storm inspires local businesses to step up. Owner of the 464 Bank Street & Campeau Drive Domino’s Pizza locations immediately stepped up and donated 50 fresh, hot pizzas (with delivery bags, plates, napkins) for KiSS 1053 to hand out in heavily affected areas of Ottawa. While collecting the pies to personally deliver to first responders, maintenance workers, arborists, hydro teams and families in need, staff was overheard saying

‘We’re running low on dough, or there’d be more!’

Want to Help? Here’s How:

From Ottawa Start, here is a quick-access series of info to help you best direct any donations you wish to make:

A lot of people are asking how they can help residents in our region who were affected by Friday’s storm.

  • The Canadian Red Cross is accepting financial donations by phone, 1-800-418-1111, or at local Red Cross offices.
  • The Salvation Army is accepting donations of clothes, furniture or household items. Donations can be made at Sally Anne thrift stores. Pickups can be arranged for large items by phone, 613-247-1435 ext. 228.
  • Kanata MPP Merrilee Fullerton’s constituency office, 100-240 Michael Cowpland Dr. Kanata, is open 9 a.m. Monday to accept clothing donations and supplies.
  • West-end food banks are accepting donations, as is the Ottawa Food Bank.
  • The Ottawa Senators have started an online fundraiser.
  • There’s a Facebook page for coordinating donations/assistance for Dunrobin residents.
