Is there actually going to be a Friends’ movie coming out in 2018? This teaser trailer had every fan’s reunion dreams coming true.

After I saw it, I was nerding out for a good 5 minutes.

Then I made a discovery that broke my heart into two pieces. Unfortunately, we’ve been played. There will be NO “Friends” movie.

What you saw was a fake trailer made by a super cruel and super talented fan / video editor who managed to mash together episodes and footage from both ‘Joey’ the TV show and ‘Cougar Town’ to make a convincing trailer.

Will a movie ever happen? Nah. Most of the original cast members have been quite vocal about their lack of interest in coming together again for a Friends reunion. Here’s an older interview with Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel Green on the show.

Also, 54-year old Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay explained to Heat Magazine why a reunion isn’t in the cards.

When asked by Heat Magazine if a reunion will ever happen, she answered:
“Yeah, probably not. What’s it going to be about? Really, how is it going to work? This is what everybody is forgetting.”

“I feel like I’m just constantly bursting that little bubble of hope, each and every time it’s asked.” (HeatWorld.Com)

“It’s been 13 years, 13 years of the same question and right now, or in the future, it’s not going to happen. And every time I say that, I get yelled at.”
Plus, if you remember how the series ended, it would be hard to bring the characters all together:
“They no longer hang out at the coffee shop, they have all moved away. Chandler and Monica live upstate, Phoebe and Mike, probably the same. For what reason would there be for them all to come together for a significant amount of time? The setting, and that time of life, worked brilliantly for them.” (Lisa Kudrow tells HeatWorld.Com)
