Angelina Jolie answers candid questions about family for the first time since her split from Brad Pitt.

Tuesday, February 21st during an interview with Good Morning America, Jolie answered some questions about family following her separation from Pitt in September of 2016.

The interview was predominantly focused on her new film “First They Killed My Father” based on human rights activist Loung Ung’s experience as an orphan of war in Cambodia.

Jolie’s eldest son, Maddox, was adopted from Cambodia in 2002. He and his sibling Pax both helped her with this film though she says, “I think they’d rather be musicians.”

Prior to giving this interview to ABC News for a North American audience, Jolie spoke with the BBC on Sunday, February 19th where similar questions about her family life were asked and answered. CLICK HERE to see that interview.

“I don’t want to say very much about that except to say that it was a very difficult time… And we are a family and will always be a family. And we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it.”
