Winterlude 2017 Need-to-Know Fact Sheet

Get out and PLAY in Ottawa-Gatineau with Winterlude 2017!

Loads of events are happening at three main locations:

1. The Crystal Garden at Confederation Park (Elgin at Laurier/across from City Hall) & Marion Dewar Plaza (City Hall); home to beautiful ice sculptures and where the Sub-Zero Concert Series take place.
2. The Snowflake Kingdom (Jacques-Cartier Park/Rue Laurier, Gatineau); great for kids with snow slides and tonnes of outdoor fun!
3. The Rideau Canal; world’s largest skating rink.

– Winterlude runs Feb. 3rd to the 20th with all sites open on Family Day in Ontario.
– “Celebrate Canada in Winter” is the theme for Winterlude’s 39th year.
– The 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge will be marked with a majestic 100-block ice sculpture.
– The Sub-Zero Concert Series (Fridays and Saturdays throughout PLUS Sunday, Feb. 19th) features: Trevor Guthrie, Alx Veliz, Coleman Hell, Scott Helman, David Usher and more.

Let’s get to the Sub-Zero Concert Series – (highlighting KiSS Artists) happening Fridays and Saturdays (Feb. 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th and 19th PLUS Sunday, Feb. 19th @ 7:30PM) at Confederation Park – CIBC Stage.

Opening night: Friday, Feb. 3rd – Karim Ouellet followed by Coleman Hell
Friday, Feb. 10th – Alx Veliz, DJ DOMENO and Trevor Guthrie
Saturday, Feb. 11th – Canada 150 Signature Concert with DJ to follow
Saturday, Feb. 18th – David Usher
Sunday, Feb. 19th – Alex Nevsky and member of The Voice Junior, Charles Kardos and Brenden MacGowan followed by Scott Helman
