A little Bailey’s in the coffee?

Sure, it’s a pretty common holiday tradition.

About four years ago, though… I learned how to make my own, using whatever BASE Alcohol you want…

AND EVERYTHING CHANGED.

SO, to start the holiday drinking revolution, let’s teach YOU how to do the same.

PERSONALLY, I prefer a Vodka Base, but you can use Rye, BOURBON, or almost ANY of your fave rail boozes… though Tequila might be a little odd.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 750 ml Vodka (or other booze of choice)
  • 2 Cans Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1L Whipping Cream
  • 1L Table Cream  (higher the milk fat %, the creamier it’ll be)
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Almond Extract
  • Nesquik Syrup
  • a HUGE Bowl
  • A mixing implement (STICK Blender FTW!)
  • Bottles to put the Finished Product In

THE METHOD

  1. Dump all the cream, booze and sweetened condensed milk into the bowl and blend like crazy for about a minute.
  2. Add in 2 tsp each of almond extract and Vanilla.
  3. Add about 2 TBSP of chocolate syrup
  4. BLEND for 1 minute.
  5. TASTE TEST!
  6. Add extra flavouring agents as necessary (Some people prefer WAY more nesquik, some, more almond extract)
  7. Bottle it.
  8. Chill it.
  9. Serve it over ice, or in coffee, or in hot chocolate, or in a bowl because you’ve run out of mugs and cups and you’re too lazy to wash them all.

Personally, I like to toss it in a glass with some ice, splash a little milk in to thin it out a bit.

DRINK RESPONSIBLY, and ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS!
