Taylor Swift is moving in an “edgier” direction for her next album.

We know that Taylor has been in studio working on a follow up to 2014’s hit-filled 1989. Thanks to an inside source, we know that her sixth studio LP will contain break-up bangers about Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston.

Swift’s lyrics, however, will not be on the attack since she seems to have a pretty okay relationship with both exes these days.

However she chooses to tell her side of the break-up story will be an interesting one. Is Drake helping her with remixes a la Kendrick Lamar and Bad Blood?

British press, The Sun, says they’ve been told that Taylor’s new music is inspired by hip-hop and R&B.

“Taylor is always looking at ways to grow as an artist and really wants to try something different and unexpected for the next album. She’s not afraid of experimenting so is working with a lot of different faces to see if she suits a new sound.”

The source says Drake is producing “a few tracks and even lent his vocals to one song.”

Neither Swift nor Drake have officially spoken about this collaboration but… C’mon… Drake is dropping some serious hints via Instagram.

Is that velvet?

Drake will be putting out new material in December called More Life, a follow up to April’s ViewsMore Life is described as a “playlist” project that gives listeners a “soundtrack to [their] life.” Will Taylor Swift’s music pop up on the playlist?

Hmm…
