Gordie Howe spoke often about the importance of encouraging children to get into sports and will be forever remembered as a Canadian Legend.

An excerpt from Wayne Gretzky’s 20 Questions with Gordie Howe:

“I wanted to play hockey in the big league so bad and I pushed myself to be as good as I could be. I just wanted to be on the ice all the time. Looking back, I was obsessed at times. I got exactly what I dreamed of, which makes me a very lucky guy. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who helped me along the way. You don’t get to fulfill that dream without a lot of support.”
