Stranger Things Star Talks About Time Spent in Mental Asylum

David Harbour, best know for his role as Police Chief Jim Hopper in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, gets candid about his mental health. Harbour was recently a guest on Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast and used some of his mic time to talk about his history with anxiety, self-hate, mania and time spent in a mental asylum where he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at age 25.

Harbour is 43 now and says his religious upbringing mixed with sobriety after years of substance abuse made him think he had a “connection to some sort of God that I wasn’t really in connection to”, also revealing he could see ‘elves’ to his parents who, ultimately, made the call to send him to an asylum for treatment.

Mariah Carey’s Son Racks Up Hefty Online Shopping Bill

Carey’s 7 year old son Moroccan spend $5,000 on Amazon and bought a DOG, too! Wait… what? Carey told Jimmy Kimmel “I have to control them with iPads because literally he charged $5,000 on Amazon!”

“The other night apparently he was with Nick and he ordered a dog… We have enough dogs! The dog’s been cancelled” she joked with the late night host.

In other news, Mariah and Nick Cannon (father to twins Monroe and Moroccan) have some decisions to make regarding their kid’s musical endeavors. Carey admits she wrote a song for them to sing which has been recorded, dubbed ‘Roc and Roe’, but is undecided about it’s release.

“I have to talk it over with Nick and see how he feels… I would be very angry if he released a song without asking me.” Respect!

Reese Witherspoon aka Elle Woods is back as everyone’s fave Harvard Law graduate in a new sequel. This will be the third installment of the Legally Blonde franchise which began in 2001. Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde came out in 2003 and a Broadway musical based on Elle Woods took the stage in 2007.

We don’t have a release date for LB3 but it’s pretty much been confirmed that it IS happening thanks for Witherspoon’s social media:

“I think it’s a really great time to talk about women in politics because we need more women in politics. We’re 50 percent of the population, but we’re only 17 percent of the government. We need some balance there.” – Reese Witherspoon
