Closer to home, Ottawa held its own with a staggering 8,000 in attendance (estimated).

“Thousands of women, with a strong representation of men and children, descended on the Ottawa Human Rights Monument near City Hall Saturday morning to march in support of sister organizations in Washington and around the world.

The marches were to protest the new administration of President Donald Trump, with a focus on protecting and advancing women’s rights.”

The term was used by Trump in a leaked conversation with former entertainment show host Billy Bush back in 2005. Women have decided to, instead of being appalled at Trump’s misogynistic usage of the term, reclaim the term and use it as a form of solidarity and strength! Plus, who doesn’t love a good pink toque?!
