Ed Sheeran’s been doing the press junket to promote his third album, surprising fans with two new song that have been breaking ALL THE RECORDS, “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill“. He’s blessed us with a release date, including pre-order availability (see above) and… well… he gave us this Fresh Prince cover we didn’t know we needed:

It’s been almost three years since his last album Multiply dropped. To say we’re really looking forward Divide is an understatement! Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of Ed over the next little while to satiate our needs as he works the promo-circuit which has, so far, consisted of co-hosting a number of British radio programs, talking with our sister station KiSS 92.5’s Devo Brown in Toronto and filming an upcoming guest spot on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke!

Yessssss!

When Sheeran’s not making records in his garden, he’s breaking them worldwide:

Within 24 hours of it’s release, “Castle on the Hill” got 5.63 million streams on Spotify beating the previous one-day record held by One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” with 4.76 million streams back in August of 2015.

“Shape of You” was even BIGGER with 6.13 million streams… so he bested himself with one-day streams!

The streams have increased, mostly, on Sheeran’s new tracks (via Spotify) with his label, Atlantic, saying that as of January 8th, the two songs combined garnered 25.84 million streams within the first two days. Some are guessing his weekly streams will top 90 million… Woah.
