Calvin Harris has just released his new single, ‘My Way’; this is the follow up to his hugely successful collaboration with Rihanna, ‘This Is What You Came For’.

What is ‘My Way’ about? Calvin spoke with iHeartRadio HQ and explained, “[The] song’s kind of about breaking out of a situation that you thought was a good thing. Then, then you’re way more comfortable out of it. And it could could be anything. Like it could be a job, or it could be a relationship. I had kind of the idea for the concept for a few years, but I didn’t know how to work out how it sounded.”

Earlier this week, Calvin had asked his fans on Twitter to guess who they thought the featured vocalist would be on ‘My Way’…

Some of the names and theories that fans came up with included, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and even his ex, Taylor Swift, but as it turns out, the featured vocalist was…HIM!

Calvin explained that when he feels the “time is right”, that he will sing his own songs, “I like to sing on a song every two or three years, or so…I just kind of thought it was a bit of a curve ball. I kind of like the idea of just tracking something out without a celebrity guest feature, and I think the vocal works so why not” (via iHeartRadio.com).

This of course isn’t Calvin’s first time supplying the vocals for his own track, he’s done it before with his 2011 single, ‘Feel So Close’ and his 2014 summer anthem aptly titled, ‘Summer’.
