Lana Del Rey

Have a look at the most anticipated albums slated for release in September 2015.

Jess Glynne ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ – September 11

During my standard teenage angst years, I would play Green Day’s Wake Me Up When September Ends, every September on loop for a few days while I settled back into school. It felt right to my puberty confused brain. The song is all melancholy all the time and the seven and half-minute accompanying music video will put you angst into overdrive. Jess Glynne is the complete opposite of a Green Day song. There isn’t a moment that she isn’t telling you to believe in yourself, to be happy, and live life with a smile. Music this positive is what makes people hug strangers. Last week, Jess Glynne had our “Global Hit Impacting Overseas” with her smash U.K. number single ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself‘. This week she’ll release her debut album and we are sure the albums success with follow that of her two number U.K. singles.

Lana Del Rey ‘Honeymoon’ – September 18

Lana Del Rey is exists somewhere between a dream and a perfectly crafted tumblr post. Its hard to decide just what era Del Rey belongs to when she feels very of the moment, yet evokes the past. ‘High by the Beach,’ the lead single from her highly anticipated third album, ‘Honeymoon,’ strikes as a step forward in production and writing. If the sounds on ‘Honeymoon’ are consistent with ‘High by the Beach’ expect Del Rey to ease into her role as critical darling. If anything, Lana’s new album will bring with it a legion of new Instagram captions and late night Tweets.

Fetty Wap ‘Fetty Wap’ – September 25

FINNNNAAAALLLY, was the reaction when Fetty Wap’s debut self titled album actually received a release date. The New Jersey born rapper has produced three top ten singles, ‘Trap Queen’, ‘679‘ and ‘My Way.’ ‘Fetty Wap’ is the cherry on top of what has been an unbelievable year for the rapper. There’s no reason to expect Fetty Wap not to deliver a terrific album. We already have the songs from Fetty that defined our Summer of 2015, now all we need are a few more gems to round out the year.

Disclosure ‘Caracal’ – September 25

23 million views on YouTube is undeniable. You can’t question the power of a song or its impact on the culture once it reaches an absurd number like that. ‘Omen’ by Disclosure is sitting at roughly that number. They were able to recreate the magic they made with Sam Smith on ‘Latch‘ again on ‘Omen’, and just like in 2013, it is only the precursor to an album that will be filled with songs that will soundtrack your late nights for years to come.
